Telling Your Unique Story

A lifetime of design. Shortly after graduating with his visual merchandising degree, Larry, the designer, added "entrepreneur" to his resume by launching a private visual display company called Area Code 212 Designs, Inc. For over 25 years, Larry was the visionary behind the window designs and interior vignette designs for Regis Corp, Department 56, Midtown Global Market, Home Holiday Décor, and many more. He has also been lead designer and coordinator for various shopping center interiors like Mall of America, Galleria of Edina, Gaviidae Common, Ridgedale Center, and Burnsville Center. In 2015 Larry took on an opportunity with one of Minneapolis-metro's largest real estate staging company to design commercial, home and luxury condo interiors to inspire buyers to stop and sign contracts. After five years in staging, JB Hudson Jewelers, Minneapolis asked 18 Marais Designs to be their exclusive window designers. Thanks to Larry's keen sense of style and visual creativity, he's become a popular event designer for elevated private events and fundraisers. And of course he's still enjoying his first love, retail store merchandising, at At Home and Company, Edina.

Bringing Your Vision to Life

From food to flowers, Brian will make it amazing. For over 20 years Brian was a premier custom floral designer and floral design educator whose creations have been displayed in some of the most prestigious design events in Minnesota.  He expanded his creativity to full interiors as a professional visual display/merchandising designer and enjoyed that for over 10 years.  Brian's passion for design doesn't stop there. He even expresses it in food, and was inspired to train at the prestigious LeCordon Bleu Culinary Arts, where he was recognized with high honors. Brian began working with Larry at Area Code 212 Design, Inc. and soon discovered that there was an undeniable synergy and complimentary artistic aesthetic between him and Larry that helped land them design project after design project.  Their shared enthusiasm for making spaces stunning has forged a successful partnership for the last 15 years. Brian has enabled 18 Marais to expand their services into catering, floral design as well as commercial & private home planter design.
